Flora’s Walk for Perinatal Mental Health

The Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative (CPMHC), in collaboration with Lotus Counselling Services, is holding its third annual national fundraiser walkathon - Flora’s Walk for Perinatal Mental Health - on May 4, 2024 coinciding with World Maternal Mental Health Week.
The walk is named after Flora Babakhani, a Canadian mom who tragically lost her life to untreated postpartum psychosis on January 14th, 2022. Parents, babies, family & friends are all invited to join for a stroller walk to discuss, promote and support perinatal mental health. Read more about Flora at: https://cpmhc.ca/floras-story/
Please accept our invitation to be a part of Flora’s Walk in Waterdown to raise awareness and funding for the need to improve services for parents and families. Here are some ways you can participate:
Join our team and walk with us on May 4, 2024
Donate to Team Waterdown
Advertise the walk within your business and/or on your social media
Donate a gift card or service to be used as a raffle prize for the walk (also allows
for great advertising for your business)
Support the walk by providing light snacks and beverages (i.e. pastries, water
bottles)
Participating businesses will receive acknowledgement on our social media platforms and will be highlighted at the walk.
By sponsoring a walk in your city, you will be providing funds to help cover the cost of organizing the walk as well as add to the funds being raised to improve local services. You will receive a sponsorship acknowledgement letter to submit with your business taxes – write off the sponsorship as a business expense (CRA approved).

$250 Pewter Level Sponsor (Logo on website)
$500 Bronze Level Sponsor (Logo on website/shared on social media)
$1000 Silver Level Sponsor (Logo on website/shared on social media/printed materials)
$2500 Gold Level Sponsor (Logo on website/shared on social media/printed materials, business recognized at event)
Where the money raised will go:
● 75% of the funds raised will go towards improving perinatal mental health access to care and training across Canada. For Team Waterdown, this money will allow Lotus Counselling Services to provide free/low cost therapy and group programming to individuals during the perinatal period (pregnancy to 2 years post partum).
● 25% of the funds raised will go towards admin costs and improving perinatal mental health advocacy efforts.
